Story

It's about a story of a man and a woman who are separated by death in a gunfight, the man goes to hell and realises his woman is still alive from the devil's words, the devil says she can be with him again if he brings the souls of a thousand evil men, he agrees, the devil hands him a gun. After killing nine hundred and ninety nine men, the man finds out he was betrayed by the devil, he was the last man to be killed. The devil's refusal of a promise left the man with a stolen soul, turning him into a walking corpse and making him vow to kill anyone in his way to get revenge.

About the mod

Riddle of Revenge is a conceptual gameplay mod for Doom, forged under the inspiration of other renowned mods, but with a thematic difference: it is heavily based on the "pseudo-conceptual horror story" of the album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

It's art direction features pre-rendered animations created from scratch, running at 35 frames per second, giving the gameplay a deliberately unique aesthetic. To execute their sweet revenge, the player will have a vast arsenal of 11 weapons and other moves to be ready for battle.
